Carometec Touch Panel i15 – over one million hours of operation in the field!

Carometec has now built over 100 Touch Panels i15 since the product was launched 1½ years ago.

The Touch Panel i15 has proven able to endure very tough environments as they are used in slaughterhouses both as stand-alone equipment and together with our Fat-O-Meat’er II and AutoFom. During the 18 months of operation we have not had a single mechanical failure and only a handful of the Touch Panels i15 have failed due to disk drive crashes or similar errors.

Elpozo in Spain installs AutoFom

The Spanish food group Elpozo Alimentación has introduced AutoFom at their factory in Murcia. This 13th AutoFom system in Spain is now installed and provides the slaughter house with grading data for the thousands of pigs slaughtered daily.  
 
Elpozo is known for their strong brand of high quality charcuterie products such as Serrano/IBérico ham, dried sausages, pâtés and frankfurter type sausages.
 
When including the new Elpozo installation close to half of the Spanish pig slaughterings are graded by an AutoFom - representing approximately 18 million pigs/year.

Fat-O-Meat'er II installed at JBS USA

JBS USA has recently installed the Fat-O-Meat’er II - the second generation of the handheld grading equipment Fat-O-Meat’er - in all of their pork plants in the USA. The plants are located in Marshalltown, Iowa, Worthington, Minnesota and Louisville, Kentucky.

Based in Greeley, Colorado, JBS USA is is a subsidiary of the Brazilian company JBS SA, that is the world's third-largest processor of fresh beef and pork. JBS has been in the animal protein and food production business for over 50 years.
